Our Story – An Idea Born from Passion for Gardening
The story of Rasenkantenboy begins with Rudolf Wilholt from 33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück/Batenhorst. As an experienced blacksmith and industrial mechanic, he was always an innovator. After completing his mechanical engineering studies and working as a technical director, he developed an idea to make life easier for garden enthusiasts:
A lawn edge trimmer that creates clean edges with minimal effort! His patented system was officially registered as “Lawn edge trimmer for cutting grass growth on or along the edges of a lawn border” – quite a complex name for a simple yet ingenious tool!
🌟 Our Mission: Making lawn care as simple and efficient as possible!
📺 In 2018, the Rasenkantenboy was featured by the MDR camera team on the show Einfach Genial – and a follow-up episode is already in the works!
🎉 By the end of 2024, we had sold over 10,000 lawn edge trimmers – clear proof that garden lovers appreciate a perfectly maintained lawn edge!
🌱 In January 2025, the company was taken over by Stefan Grett, a long-time employee. As a trained toolmaker and business economist, he continues the success story with his newly founded company Rosinski & Grett Gbr. – with the same passion for innovation and quality. The new team is strengthened by Lars Rosinski, an expert in online marketing and sales, who is driving the Rasenkantenboy brand forward.
